There is a disconnect at this point in the line. The last mention of Joel in AL is in the 1850 which indicates that he resided in Coosa County, AL near his daughter Amanda (Prickett) Welden. There is no list of Joel’s children. However a descendant, Mary Parks Nelson, of one of Joel’s daughters, California Ann Prickett, has been admitted to membership of the DAR based in her link to Joel Prickett. I know that my great grandfather, Tarpley, is Joel’s son, but I can’t prove it.
